Michael Jackson Claims Top Nine Spots On Billboard Pop Charts
The "King of Pop" is once again ruling the music world. Billboard.com is reporting that the top nine spots on this weeks Billboard Top Pop Catalog Albums chart are occupied by Michael Jackson-related releases. Sitting at number one is Jackson's "Number Ones" with 108-thousand units sold. At number two is "The Essential Michael Jackson" with 102-thousand copies, while "Thriller" checks in at number three with 101-thousand albums sold. Jackson's "Off The Wall" is this week's number four after selling 33-thousand copies and the Jackson Five's "The Ultimate Collection" rounds out the top five with 18-thousand units sold. In total, Jackson sold 415-thousand albums in the week ending on June 28, which is 40 percent more than his catalog sold the entire rest of the year.
