Stevie Wonder Announces Summer Tour
Stevie Wonder's planning to return to the road this summer. LiveDaily.com says the Motown legend -- who turns 58 today -- has 13-date tour booked for June and July, which includes a dozen U.S. show and one stop in Canada. His trek features a stop at Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Summerfest as well as an outdoor show in Chicago's Grant Park. Wonder is scheduled to launch the tour in Wantagh, New York on June 18th.
It's the second consecutive year Wonder has gone on tour, resuming his performing career last year following a 12-year absence from the concert circuit. The noted singer-songwriter was reportedly inspired to hit the road again following the 2006 death of his mother. He's also been working on a tribute album in her honor. Wonder's most recent release is 2005's "A Time 2 Love," which was his first collection of new studio material in a decade.
