Bob Dylan's Visual Art Getting London Exhibition
Bob Dylan's visual art is getting another display. London's Halcyon Gallery is planning an exhibit of the legendary singer-songwriter's drawings, which were showcased over the winter at a museum in Germany. Dubbed "The Drawn Blank Series," the exhibit features variations of material published in the now out of print 1994 book "Drawn Blank." The book included sketches and paintings Dylan created in while on tour the late 1980s and early '90s, and are said to reflect the disconnected transience of life on the road. Halcyon Gallery President Paul Green calls the exhibit, quote, "an incredible opportunity for viewing this powerful body of work which gives an insight into the artist's soul, and which have already been the subject of widespread critical acclaim." "The Drawn Blank Series" will open in London on June 14th. |
