Panic's "Pretty. Odd." Definition Of Success
The rockers of Panic At The Disco think they're starting to get a handle on success in the music industry, and it's coming from their live shows. Drummer Spencer Smith tells MTV.com that these days it's hard to tell where you stand and that all the things that used to indicate how your band was doing have gone away so all perceptions have changed. Guitarist Ryan Ross adds that the band's only true indicator now is going on tour and seeing how people react to the new songs. Smith says that the group has the advantage of being a rock band, which has always been a genre where people put an emphasis on the live performance. The drummer concludes that luckily that is something that will always be a true indicator and he adds, quote, "You can't download a concert ticket." |
