Music Saves Lives, Blood Gets You Backstage
The Music Saves Lives organization is once again uniting with the Vans Warped Tour in providing fans something great in return for what may be the greatest gift of all. There will be Music Saves Lives blood drives going on in advance of Warped Tour stops in certain cities and every participant who donates blood at these drives will receive a one-day VIP backstage access pass for their help in possibly saving someone's life. Last year, more than 29-thousand people participated in the blood drive and this year's goal is 40-thousand donations. The need for blood and for people to sign up for the national marrow registry program is at a high during the summer months as nearly 30-percent of blood supply comes from college and high school students, who are typically not in class during summer.
