Change is a hollow word.

change2Regardless of who gets elected president in November, one thing is for sure. We have to change the way the Government does business with the American people and other nations.

Although all the Presidential candidates are using the buzz word change, none of them are talking about the real fundamental changes that Americans really want.

First and foremost, we’re tired of sending money to foreign governments. We send it under the name of aid, but where that money goes and what it is used for is never made known to the very people who are flipping the bill. If the American people knew how the money our Government forces them to give to foreign governments there would be a full scale revolt in the streets. I’m not talking about food aid to Africa; I’m talking about how we give vast sums to Saudi Arabia and other less than savory characters. What they do with that money is anybody’s guess.

Next is the love affair our Government has developed with the idea of corporate welfare that has developed over the last thirty years. Why we feel it necessary to subsidize the wealthiest among us with money to build retail stores and sports arenas is beyond all conventional reasoning, yet we do it, to the tune of Billions very year.

Then there is the oil scam. OPEC is a criminal cartel that holds our nation hostage, if a nation did to our country what these oil criminals are doing, we would attack them, and we would be right to do so. These villains are killing our economy, and we’re letting them. The next President is going to have to get serious about this international crime family.

Oh yeah, there’s also the home mortgage mess, the lowered standard of living, our failing schools, homelessness, poverty, the health care crisis, etc…

What we need in the next President is a real leader, someone like Reagan who can circumvent our do nothing Congress and take the problems straight to the American people. Unfortunately, we’re most likely to get a President who will get the job because her husband cheated on her. I guess the real question is what do you plan to do to turn things around? What will you do to make a difference?
