Daddy Real Entertainment Enters the Cleveland (OH) Market

On Saturday, May 21, 2011, Daddy Real Entertainment, arguably the Midwest’s fastest growing, most comprehensive management, promotion, and production company (daddyreal.com), continues its rapid expansion throughout the Midwest with a concert at the world famous Cleveland Agora in Cleveland, Ohio (www.clevelandagora.com). Part of its Daddy Real Tour ’11, the Cleveland Agora show features "AS JOE COCKER" starring ALAN KAYE with MAD DOGS & AMERICANS performing a spot-on tribute to Joe Cocker and opening act, one of Daddy Real Records newly-signed artists, The Elect, a six-piece jam/rock band.

Daddy Real’s mission is to find, develop, and promote talent – in music, theatre, dance, and the other creative arts. “Most of the artists I have met over the years,” says Roger Upchurch, Founder/CEO, “need exposure and promotion; they need backing, guidance, and support. That’s what we offer to our artists.”

Alan Kaye, a stand-up comedian impressionist, has opened for more than eighty major concert artists touring across the United States and Canada including Joe Cocker himself. Out of this was born his Joe Cocker portrayal, so amazingly accurate that most audience members believe they are watching and hearing the actual star. Kaye not only looks like Joe Cocker, he sings like Joe Cocker. He throws back his head and belts out all of Cocker's biggest hits – the power and passion of his voice and the wild energy he releases through his hands are simply awesome!

Opening for Kaye is The Elect, a dynamic, soulful band with a spicy southern drawl that delivers a musical punch. Its roots spring from a variety of sources – Van Morrison, John Prine, the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, and The Band.

According to Dan Dygert, VP of Daddy Real Entertainment, “These are dedicated musicians who have played together since the early 90s and who know exactly how to engage and entertain an audience. Their dynamic show is quite different from most of today's Jam/Rock Bands in that they’re very entertaining and mix different styles within each performance.”

Tickets are available at the Canton Palace Theatre or online at daddyreal.com. Show starts at 7:30 pm. Artists are available for in studio or remote radio/TV interviews.
